Phu Yen Department of Health won second prize in the 2024 Excellent Primary Health Care Competition in the Central region

On September 13, 2024 in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province, the Ministry of Health organized the 2024 Excellent Primary Health Care Competition, Central region. The Central region has 5 provinces participating in the competition including: Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces.
The 2024 Excellent Primary Health Care Competition was organized by the Ministry of Health with the theme: Primary Health Care: Close to the People - Dedicated Service. At the competition, the teams went through 3 competition parts: Greeting, knowledge and talent. The content of the competition parts focused on introducing the achievements in health care for people at the primary health care level in their locality, knowledge about health activities at the primary health care level. Difficulties and barriers in health care for people in the locality. The teams presented rich and diverse competition parts through local folk cultural forms such as; Ho, Ve, Ca Bai Choi, Cai Luong, Cham Dance, Skits...
The final results of the teams competing in the 2024 Excellent Primary Health Care Competition: First prize went to the Department of Health of Binh Dinh province, the Department of Health of Phu Yen won the second prize, the Department of Health of Quang Ngai province won the third prize, the Department of Health of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan won the consolation prize. In addition, the team of the Department of Health of Phu Yen also won the secondary prize; the best actress award went to Kim Ngan.
The 2024 Excellent Primary Health Care Competition is organized by the Ministry of Health nationwide with 3 regions: North, Central and South with the participation of 16 provinces and cities representing the 3 regions. Each region will select the two best teams to participate in the national final round held in Hanoi, expected to be in November. Thus, the participating teams of the Department of Health of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces will represent the Central region to participate in the final round of the 2024 Excellent Primary Health Care Competition in Hanoi.
Excellent grassroots health care in 2024 is a competition for grassroots health workers in response to Directive No. 25 CT/TW of the Central Party Secretariat on continuing to consolidate, improve and enhance the quality of grassroots health activities in the new situation, which clearly states: "Expand and diversify communication activities, health education, and knowledge dissemination to raise awareness and change behavior in protecting, caring for and improving health".
