Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the most important traditional festivals of Vietnamese people, is approaching. This is an occasion for family gatherings, children eagerly receive traditional gifts and candies.
Children are often the main consumers of sweets during the Mid-Autumn Festival. They eagerly open boxes of colorful and sweet candies and it is our responsibility as adults to ensure that these products are safe and suitable for children's health.

To choose safe food products

First of all, when choosing candies for children, always prioritize products from reputable manufacturers with licenses to operate in the field of food safety. This is to ensure that the product has been tested for quality and food safety. The Department of Food Safety and Hygiene makes the following recommendations:

1. Check the origin: Before buying candies, check the origin of the product. This is an important indicator to ensure that the product meets food safety standards.

2. Check the ingredients: Read the ingredients of the candies carefully to ensure that they do not contain harmful additives or chemicals. Limit children's intake of products with too many preservatives or artificial sweeteners.

3. Do not use products of unknown origin: Cheap candies of unknown origin are often of poor quality and unsafe. Avoid buying these products to ensure the safety of children's health.

4. Traditional moon cakes: Traditional moon cakes are often a better choice than candies with many artificial colors and flavors. Encourage children to eat traditional moon cakes to ensure safety and preserve cultural values.

5. Expiry date: Read the information on the product packaging carefully to know the expiry date. Do not eat expired cakes, as this can be harmful to health.

In addition to eating candies, drinking soft drinks also needs to be managed carefully. Soft drinks often contain sugar and can be harmful to health if consumed excessively. Here are some tips:

- Limit soft drinks: Limit the amount of soft drinks your child drinks in a day. This helps prevent weight gain, protects dental health, and keeps your child on a balanced diet.

- Replace with other drinks: Replace soft drinks with unsweetened water or natural fruit juice. Pure water is the healthiest choice.

- Educate your child about health: Educate your child about the importance of maintaining health by eating a balanced diet and exercising. Help your child understand the decision-making process in choosing food.

Protect health for tomorrow

Let's work together to protect children's health and create a safe and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival for them. Remember that our decisions today will affect our children's future. We have a responsibility to ensure that they grow up in a safe and healthy environment.

Mid-Autumn Festival is an occasion for children across the country to play together, watch lion dances, break cakes, carry lanterns, etc. We not only want the children to have memorable memories but also want to ensure that the green buds grow and maintain good health in the future. Choosing safe confectionery products and managing the consumption of soft drinks within limits are important steps in taking care of their health.

Let's share the message of a safe Mid-Autumn Festival for children's health and create a healthy Mid-Autumn Festival environment. Remember that our decisions and habits during this time can greatly affect the health of children tomorrow. Wishing you, your friends and your children a peaceful and joyful Mid-Autumn Festival!
